The KWT Story

Kindred Women Together was created to bring women together through connection, friendship and community.
Founder Janice Maple wanted other women to experience the same sense of belonging and support that she had found within her own community. From this simple idea, The INClub was launched in February 2019 as an inclusive social club where women could meet, connect and form new friendships. Over the following 18 months, The INClub hosted a wide range of social events and activities, connecting more than 200 women throughout the Bangalow and Northern NSW community.
As the community grew, it became clear that The INClub was becoming something deeper than a social club. It evolved into a warm and welcoming space where like-minded women could come together to learn new things, share experiences, support one another, and build genuine friendships and meaningful connections.
With a growing focus on smaller, more intentional activities and shared experiences, the name Kindred Women Together was created to better reflect the spirit of connection at the heart of the community.
The women who participate in KWT are often at a stage in life where they are ready to invest more time into themselves, their interests and their wellbeing.
All women are welcome to join the activities and become part of the community.
"A sweet friendship refreshes the soul" Proverbs 27:9
The INClub has been truly life-altering for me, for the better!
I have LOVED meeting wonderful local women at social events and workshops
such as singing (Melia is an incredibly beautiful force of nature!), creative writing
(Sib’s knowledge is unsurpassed!) and my regular opportunity to BREATHE,
the gorgeous Dave’s Tai Ga Chi classes! I could not recommend this club highly enough.
Thank you Janice for your insight and dedication to our community connectedness and growth!

Janice Maple
Founder

Janice Maple has called the Byron Shire in Northern NSW home since 2000, where she raised her sons while building a career in the real estate industry.
Over the years, she has become a respected and active member of the local community.
In 2015, Janice began thinking about creating a social group for women. Like many mothers, partners and working women, she was focused on supporting everyone around her and had little time to bring the idea to life.
After selling her business in 2018, and with some of her children beginning to leave the nest, she finally felt the time was right to dedicate energy to the idea that had stayed with her for years.
Having experienced so much support from her community over the years, Janice felt both grateful and excited to create something that could give back and help women feel more connected.
Because women need connection with other women.
