About

The purpose of Kindred Women Together...Learn Laugh Grow

is to provide opportunities for women to connect with other women within our community.
Janice Maple, Founder of Kindred Women Together, wants women to feel the same sense of
community that she does. From this simple wish, The INClub was born in February 2019. The INClub
was established as an inclusive social club for women to meet each other and form new friendships.
Over an 18 month period, The INClub hosted a number of social events and various activities and
connected well over 200 women in the Bangalow (Northern NSW) community.

As time went by, it was clear The INClub was evolving and growing up! It changed from being a club
for women to meet socially, into a safe space for like-minded women to come together, learn new
things and ultimately form new friendships and connections with other women in their community.
With the focus now on providing smaller, more intimate activities where women have the
opportunity to learn and try new things, it was time to change the name to better reflect what the
women do when they come together. Kindred Women Together...Learn Laugh Grow was born.

After investing many hours over 4 years into KWT, in early 2023, Janice asked for help from the KWT community to assist with the program, so she could focus on other areas in her life.

Clare Hopkins and Julia Ewing enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity to take KWT into the next chapter. Both Clare and Julia bring a wealth of experience in community event management and share the same passion for the KWT purpose as Janice has for all these years.

It is wonderful to see KWT continue to grow and evolve with Clare and Julia's involvement.

Wondering if this is for you...the women who participate in KWT are generally at a stage in their life
where they are ready to invest in themselves, in their own interests and in their own
happiness. All women are welcome to join in any of the activities.

"Kindness is like snow...it beautifies everything it covers."

Our Mission

The INClub has been truly life-altering for me, for the better!

I have LOVED meeting wonderful local women at social events and workshops

such as singing (Melia is an incredibly beautiful force of nature!), creative writing

(Sib’s knowledge is unsurpassed!) and my regular opportunity to BREATHE,

the gorgeous Dave’s Tai Ga Chi classes! I could not recommend this club highly enough.

Thank you Janice for your insight and dedication to our community connectedness and growth!

A little bit about Janice...

Janice Maple - Founder

Janice Maple has lived in the Byron Shire (Northern NSW) since 2000, raising her sons and working in the real estate industry. She is a respected and active member of the community.

In 2015, Janice had an idea about starting a social group for women. At that time, Janice was very
busy with other things in her life, being everything to everyone else, like most mothers, partners and
workers can be! After selling her business in 2018, and with a couple of her children leaving the nest,
Janice felt it was the right time to devote some of her energy to this idea that had been
niggling in the back of her mind for all these years.

After living in the community and receiving so much support over many years,

Janice was excited and grateful to finally be able to give something back to those who supported her.

Women always need to feel connected with other women!
